What is 3d Scanning?
3D scanning is the process whereby we scan an existing item of jewellery or a loose diamond/gemstone to collect data on its shape and structure before we computer design a bespoke commission and make a 3D model of the item designed. This process is particularly useful for designing wedding/eternity rings to sit perfectly with a shaped engagement ring, for making replicas of jewellery; for example, a lost earring and when using stones/jewellery to remodel into something new. This ensures that you are 100% happy with the size, shape and fitting of the piece of jewellery before it is made.
